Shotgun Event

The term "Shotgun" refers to the starting procedure where each team starts their round on a different hole.  The advantage of this starting system is that the field of players starts and finishes their round at the same time.  In order to accommodate this format Bent Oak requires that the event has a minimum of 116 players and a starting time before 9:30 am or after 1:00 pm.  (If your event has fewer than 116 players but are still interested in a shotgun start, please check out the "Modified Shotgun" link on the left.)
